Technology.

This light rail stop utilises many technological features in order to run efficiently and economically. For starters, the leaf-shaped louvres covering the main platform can rotate in summer, providing shade. They can also electronically frost, becoming less transparent in order to avoid turning into a magnifying glass while also stopping glare. In winter the glass can remain parallel to the floor, and protect the public from the more harsher elements. There are also solar panels located on the roof, which can rise to an angle to utilise the angle of the sun during the day, generating electricity for both external and internal use. The minimalist monolithic structure aligns with the view of a 'light' rail, while also being large enough to cater for the rapid influx of students at any given moment. Its open design allows the area to avoid becoming stuffy, letting in fresh air. Between the university and the light rail stop an iron-framed glass retaining wall deflects noise and pollution from the adjacent Square House and Round House, while also providing a lounging area on the other side, providing safety from the incoming trams.
